The Design Process
Consultation and Site Review
We begin with an on site consultation to walk through the space, discuss your goals, identify problem areas, and understand how you want the landscape to look, feel, and function.
Site Notes and Measurements
Photos, measurements, sun exposure, existing plants, grade changes, access points, irrigation considerations, and key site conditions are reviewed so the design is grounded in the reality of your space.
Design Direction
A visual direction is developed based on your style, site conditions, maintenance goals, budget, and the South Okanagan climate. This may include inspiration images, plant style, material direction, and overall garden feel.
Preliminary Landscape Plan
A first design plan is created to show the overall layout, garden bed shapes, planting zones, focal points, pathways, features, and how the space will come together.
Review and Revisions
We review the preliminary plan together and make adjustments where needed. This stage helps refine the design before the final details are completed.
Planting Plan and Plant Specifications
Once the layout is approved, plant choices are selected based on the site, design goals, water needs, mature size, maintenance level, and seasonal interest.
Final Design Package
Your final package may include scaled drawings, plant placement, plant specifications, design notes, zone descriptions, and detailed documentation tailored to your project requirements.
Next Steps and Project Support
The final plan can be used for phased installation, contractor planning, plant sourcing, or moving forward with Wise Roots project support where available.
Includes
Scaled drawings

Detailed design documentation tailored to your project requirements
