Horticulturist & Designer
Jodi Smith is the founder of Wise Roots Consulting and brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the landscape industry. Her background includes residential garden care, planting, installation, plant problem-solving and landscape design.
She holds a diploma in Horticultural Sciences, specializing in landscape design and installation. Years spent working directly in gardens have given Jodi a practical understanding of how landscapes are built, how plants develop over time and what it realistically takes to care for them.
Jodi helps homeowners make sense of overwhelming spaces, avoid costly mistakes and create a clear plan before investing in plants or construction. Her recommendations combine horticultural knowledge, thoughtful design and an honest understanding of South Okanagan growing conditions.
Her goal is to create gardens that feel beautiful and personal while remaining functional, resilient and manageable for the people who live with them.
