Blooms to Roots Co.
Rooted in the garden. Made with care.
Blooms to Roots brings together the simple comforts of the kitchen, the grounding rhythm of the garden and the joy of creating something with your own hands.
Our small-batch collection includes herbal teas, seasoning blends, soup mixes, botanical bath soaks, hardworking salves, infused oils and seasonal creations inspired by the plants we grow and thoughtfully gather here in the South Okanagan.
Our Métis roots are woven into the way we approach this work: valuing family, resourcefulness, connection to the land and the knowledge shared between generations. We believe there is something meaningful in using what grows around us, preserving the harvest and turning simple ingredients into useful, comforting things for everyday life.
Beyond our products, Blooms to Roots offers seasonal planter workshops and Rooted & Restored experiences designed to help people slow down, reconnect and create something meaningful together.
Whether you are looking for a comforting tea, a soothing soak, a practical herbal salve, a thoughtful gift or a hands-on experience for your group, Blooms to Roots offers a little piece of the garden to carry into your home and daily life.
Everything we create is rooted in care, curiosity and respect for the plants, seasons and stories that connect us.
-
Blooms to Roots is a mother-daughter duo growing, gathering and creating in the South Okanagan.
Jodi brings more than 20 years of horticultural knowledge, hands-on growing experience and landscape expertise. She creates botanical bath soaks, salves, infused oils and seasonal goods, while also leading planter workshops and developing Rooted & Restored experiences.
Cindy brings the warmth of Nana’s Kitchen, where she creates herbal teas, seasoning blends, soup mixes and other comforting kitchen goods. She is also beginning her formal studies in herbalism, building on a lifelong love of plants, food and caring for others.
Together, we are reconnecting with our Métis roots and building family traditions through gardening, gathering, preserving, creating and sharing what we grow. We value resourcefulness, seasonal living and the knowledge that develops when generations learn alongside one another.
Blooms to Roots is where our shared love of plants, family, creativity and everyday comfort can all take root.

We keep things simple, seasonal and intentional.
Many of our herbs and flowers are grown by us using an organically minded approach. Additional botanicals are thoughtfully gathered, with permission, from trusted and ethically minded gardens and landscape sites.
Everything is prepared in small batches, allowing us to stay connected to each stage of the process and create products that are practical, comforting and made with care.
We are always learning, experimenting and deepening our understanding of the plants we work with. Rather than rushing production, we follow the seasons and make thoughtful use of what is available to us.

Blooms to Roots grows through collaboration.
We work alongside South Okanagan colleagues trained in horticultural therapy, wellness specialists and other local facilitators who share our belief in the restorative value of nature, creativity and meaningful connection.
We also welcome opportunities to work with community organizations, workplaces, garden clubs, private groups and local venues to create workshops and experiences that reflect the needs of the people taking part.
By bringing together different areas of knowledge and experience, we can offer thoughtful, welcoming opportunities for people to slow down, create and reconnect.
Herbal Wellness Workshops
Rooted & Restored
Rooted & Restored is a garden-based wellness experience created to support grounding, connection and creativity within Métis communities.
Each gathering begins with a gentle mindfulness exercise before moving into a hands-on seasonal activity such as herbal bath soaks, salves, kitchen creations or therapeutic planters. Throughout the experience, trained horticultural therapy and wellness facilitators help participants remain present, connected and supported.
Rooted & Restored can be shaped for Métis families, Elders, youth, women’s groups and community organizations. Workshops may include opportunities to reflect on identity, family traditions, seasonal living and our relationship with the land, while creating something practical to take home.
This experience is not intended to speak for all Métis traditions or replace community knowledge. Instead, it offers a welcoming space where people can gather, learn from one another and build meaningful traditions through plants, creativity and shared experience.
Programs can be customized in collaboration with Métis organizations and community partners to reflect the needs, interests and comfort of each group.
