Work with Wise Roots

Every garden starts somewhere.

Whether you’re looking for guidance, hands-on support, or a full design, we offer services that meet you where you are — and help your space grow into something lasting.

With over 20 years of experience in horticulture and landscaping across the Lower Mainland and South Okanagan, Jodi brings deep, practical knowledge to every garden. Backed by a diploma in horticulture and ongoing hands-on work in a perennial-focused garden centre, her approach is rooted in what truly works — creating gardens that are resilient, thoughtful, and suited to their environment.

Ways to Work With Us

Garden Design & Planning

Thoughtful, water-wise design tailored to your space and the South Okanagan climate. We create gardens with structure, flow, and long-term resilience; whether you’re starting fresh or reimagining an existing space. Most design projects begin with a consultation to understand your space and goals.

Garden Maintenance

Consistent, knowledgeable care to keep your garden healthy and thriving. From seasonal clean-ups to ongoing support, we help your space stay vibrant, balanced, and easy to enjoy. We typically begin with a consultation to assess your space and create a care plan that fits

A complete, seasonal kitchen garden — designed, planted, and supported for your everyday life. We provide soil refresh, fertilization, and a curated selection of seasonal plants to create a space that’s both productive and easy to maintain.

You provide the garden space and we provide the kitchen garden for you to enjoy!

Irrigation is required in the South Okanagan climate — we can help you set up a system if needed.

Workshops & Community

Hands-on, welcoming experiences that connect people to their gardens.

Jodi offers workshops for garden clubs, community groups, and private gatherings, sharing practical skills, seasonal insight, and a deep understanding of what works in our climate.

In-person and online workshops for individuals are coming soon.
